I belabor this to emphasize that, for me this was, and is, and always shall be, personal. And anyone who claims that I and others like me are "soft,"or have "forgotten" the lessons of what happened here is at best a grasping, opportunistic, dilettante and at worst, an idiot whether he is a commentator, or a Vice President, or a President. However, of all the things those of us who were here five years ago could have forecast - of all the nightmares that unfolded before our eyes, and the others that unfolded only in our minds - none of us could have predicted this. Five years later this space is still empty. Five years later there is no memorial to the dead. Five years later there is no building rising to show with proud defiance that we would not have our America wrung from us, by cowards and criminals. Five years later this country's wound is still open. Five years later this country's mass grave is still unmarked. Five years later this is still just a background for a photo-op. It is beyond shameful. At the dedication of the Gettysburg Memorial - barely four months after the last soldier staggered from another Pennsylvania field - Mr. Lincoln said, "we cannot dedicate, we cannot consecrate, we cannot hallow this ground. The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here, have consecrated it, far above our poor power to add or detract." Lincoln used those words to immortalize their sacrifice. Today our leaders could use those same words to rationalize their reprehensible inaction. "We cannot dedicate, we can not consecrate, we can not hallow this ground." So we won't. Instead they bicker and buck pass. They thwart private efforts, and jostle to claim credit for initiatives that go nowhere. They spend the money on irrelevant wars, and elaborate self-congratulations, and buying off columnists to write how good a job they're doing instead of doing any job at all. Five years later, Mr. Bush, we are still fighting the terrorists on these streets. And look carefully, sir, on these 16 empty acres. The terrorists are clearly, still winning. And, in a crime against every victim here and every patriotic sentiment you mouthed but did not enact, you have done nothing about it. And there is something worse still than this vast gaping hole in this city, and in the fabric of our nation. There is its symbolism of the promise unfulfilled, the urgent oath, reduced to lazy execution. The only positive on 9/11 and the days and weeks that so slowly and painfully followed it was the unanimous humanity, here, and throughout the country. The government, the President in particular, was given every possible measure of support. Those who did not belong to his party - tabled that. Those who doubted the mechanics of his election - ignored that. Those who wondered of his qualifications - forgot that. History teaches us that nearly unanimous support of a government cannot be taken away from that government by its critics. It can only be squandered by those who use it not to heal a nation's wounds, but to take political advantage. Terrorists did not come and steal our newly-regained sense of being American first, and political, fiftieth. Nor did the Democrats. Nor did the media. Nor did the people. The President - and those around him - did that. They promised bi-partisanship, and then showed that to them, "bi-partisanship" meant that their party would rule and the rest would have to follow, or be branded, with ever-escalating hysteria, as morally or intellectually confused, as appeasers, as those who, in the Vice President's words yesterday, "validate the strategy of the terrorists." They promised protection, and then showed that to them "protection" meant going to war against a despot whose hand they had once shaken, a despot who we now learn from our own Senate Intelligence Committee, hated al-Qaida as much as we did. The polite phrase for how so many of us were duped into supporting a war, on the false premise that it had 'something to do' with 9/11 is "lying by implication." The impolite phrase is "impeachable offense." Not once in now five years has this President ever offered to assume responsibility for the failures that led to this empty space, and to this, the current, curdled, version of our beloved country. Still, there is a last snapping flame from a final candle of respect and fairness: even his most virulent critics have never suggested he alone bears the full brunt of the blame for 9/11. Half the time, in fact, this President has been so gently treated, that he has seemed not even to be the man most responsible for anything in his own administration. Yet what is happening this very night? A mini-series, created, influenced - possibly financed by - the most radical and cold of domestic political Machiavellis, continues to be televised into our homes. The documented truths of the last fifteen years are replaced by bald-faced lies; the talking points of the current regime parroted; the whole sorry story blurred, by spin, to make the party out of office seem vacillating and impotent, and the party in office, seem like the only option. How dare you, Mr. President, after taking cynical advantage of the unanimity and love, and transmuting it into fraudulent war and needless death, after monstrously transforming it into fear and suspicion and turning that fear into the campaign slogan of three elections? How dare you - or those around you - ever "spin" 9/11? Just as the terrorists have succeeded - are still succeeding - as long as there is no memorial and no construction here at Ground Zero. So, too, have they succeeded, and are still succeeding as long as this government uses 9/11 as a wedge to pit Americans against Americans. This is an odd point to cite a television program, especially one from March of 1960. But as Disney's continuing sell-out of the truth (and this country) suggests, even television programs can be powerful things. And long ago, a series called "The Twilight Zone" broadcast a riveting episode entitled "The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street." In brief: a meteor sparks rumors of an invasion by extra-terrestrials disguised as humans. The electricity goes out. A neighbor pleads for calm. Suddenly his car - and only his car - starts. Someone suggests he must be the alien. Then another man's lights go on. As charges and suspicion and panic overtake the street, guns are inevitably produced. An "alien" is shot - but he turns out to be just another neighbor, returning from going for help. The camera pulls back to a near-by hill, where two extra-terrestrials are seen manipulating a small device that can jam electricity. The veteran tells his novice that there's no need to actually attack, that you just turn off a few of the human machines and then, "they pick the most dangerous enemy they can find, and it's themselves." And then, in perhaps his finest piece of writing, Rod Serling sums it up with words of remarkable prescience, given where we find ourselves tonight: "The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs and explosions and fallout. There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, prejudices, to be found only in the minds of men. "For the record, prejudices can kill and suspicion can destroy, and a thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has a fallout all its own - for the children, and the children yet unborn." When those who dissent are told time and time again - as we will be, if not tonight by the President, then tomorrow by his portable public chorus - that he is preserving our freedom, but that if we use any of it, we are somehow un-American ... In 1999 NORAD conducted hijacking exercises where planes were flown into the Pentagon and the World Trade Center.   3. June 2000 DOJ releases a terrorism manual with the World Trade Center in crosshairs again.   4. September 2000 the Project for a New American Century releases a report called Rebuilding America's Defenses in which they state that without an event such as a new Pearl Harbor the process of transformation  is likely to be a long one.   5. October 24, 2000 the Pentagon conducts the first in a series of training exercises called MASCAL the pretext of which is a passenger airliner, a Boeing 757, crashing into the Pentagon. Charles Burlingame an ex Navy F-4 pilot who worked in the Pentagon participated in the exercise before retiring to take a job with American Airlines, less than a year later the American Airlines plane, a Boeing 757, that he was the Captain of supposedly crashed into the Pentagon.   6. April 2001  NORAD plans an exercise in which a plane is flown into the Pentagon but it is rejected as too unrealistic.   7. June 2001 new instructions are implemented to deal with intervention in the case of a hijacking, part of it reads: " For all non-immediate responses the DOD must get permission directly from the SOD. Donald Rumsfeld.   Attorney General John Ashcroft begins flying only on charter jets due to a threat assessment by the FBI.   8. July 4, 2001 Osama Bin Laden receives medical help at the American Hospital in Dubai. While he is there he is visited by the local chief of the CIA.   9. July 24, 2001 Larry A Silverstein signs a 3.2 billion dollar 99 year lease on the entire World Trade Center complex, this was six weeks before 9-11, part of the lease included a 3.5 billion dollar insurance policy that specifically covered acts of terrorism.   10. September 6, 2001 suspicious trading of American Airlines stock takes place.   Bomb sniffing dogs were pulled off the World Trade Center and security guards were pulled of the twelve hour shifts that they had been working.   11. September 7, 2001 More excessive trading of American Airline stock involving PUT options which means that people were betting that the stock would fall.   12. September 10, 2001 more of the same. Newsweek reported that a number of top Pentagon officials cancelled their flight plans for the next morning.   Willie Brown the Mayor of San Francisco receives a phone call from Condi Rice  warning him not to fly the next day.   In Pakistan at a military hospital all of the urologists are replaced by a special team in order to host Osama Bin Laden, who was well cared for and looked after.   13. September 11, 2001 with most of the intercept aircraft on training exercises in Canada and in the far North or sent far from Washington and New York on training exercises, there were only 14 aircraft left to guard the entire United States.   September 11, 2001 eyewitnesses claimed that the aircraft had no windows and sported a round blue emblem on the nose. Others reported seeing missiles and the presence of missile like mounting on the wings and the underside of the planes.   9:38 Hani Hanjoor, a very unskilled pilot, executes a 330 degree turn at 530 mph descending 7,000 feet in 2.5 minutes to crash American Airlines flight 77 into the ground floor of the Pentagon. Experts said it could not have flown at those speeds without going into a high speed stall and that at such high Gs the plane would have just fallen out of the sky. All of the experienced air traffic controllers who watched the plane that was supposed to be flight 77 maneuvering and turning believed that it was a military fighter plane. All of the lights poles that flight 77 was supposed to have sheered of seemed to have just popped out of the ground, under normal circumstances they would have ripped the wings right off of the planes. If you look at the photos and listen to the eyewitness accounts it is clear that a commercial airliner did not hit the pentagon the damage was consistent with a missile strike. Although the plane was supposed to have melted upon impact all of the bodies on board were identified by the same forensic laboratory that identified the non casualties in Pennsylvania. You get the idea. The only piece of wreckage was part of a J3-8D turbojet engine from a US Air force A-3 Sky Warrior. The few A-3s left are stored by Ratheon in Van Nuys California. A diffuser case was also found not belonging to a 757. Through analysis it is clear that a missile such as a Tomahawk was used to create the damage.   9:59 The South Tower collapses in about ten seconds, 29 minutes later the North Tower collapses in about ten seconds as well.   5:20 World Trade Center 7, a 47 story office building 300 feet away from the World Trade Center collapses in under 6 seconds into a neat little pile, while all of the buildings surrounding it were undamaged. These are the first three building in history to collapse because of a fire. I think it is about time to have Bush committed     The Reason for 9-11 is Iraq: 97/ "JAR2: Left for Dead" 4-07-06 The big news of the day is that George Bush authorized the treasonous act of burning a CIA agent. All well and good that the general sheep are now being told this by the Neo-con press, (or is it free press again?) I just wonder when are they going to start delving into the fact that the George Bush family has had ties to the Bin Laden family for decades and that Bin Laden was a CIA agent during the time the first Bush was in power and that 9-11 was made to order for the Neo-Cons. The one big and obvious clue lies in the fact that George the Emperor Fascist Chimp refused to allow Bin Laden to be caught when he was cornered. Why? Because Bin Laden was probably working for the Bushes as he had been in Afghanistan as he had been for years. Is Bin Laden still an agent for the CIA? I bet he sure is. That would make George the biggest terrorist in the history of the planet. Second only to Hitler in the breadth and the scope of the bloodshed he has caused. Impeachment would be a slap on the wrist for the war criminal.   Also in the news is the US refusal to vie for a seat on the United Nations Human Rights Council. The hypocrisy of the statements they have made as to why is mind boggling and insulting to the intelligence of any thinking person. They refuse to acknowledge the council but then make statements saying they will support countries they see fit.   From the illegal elections of Bush, to the secret imprisonment of thousands upon thousands of innocent individuals, from the aggressive invasion under false pretenses of an oil rich country to the mindless slaughter of women and children, from the trampling of civil rights to the destruction of constitutional freedoms, from the illegal spying to the illegal detentions, the US racist/fascist system needs to be dealt with by the international community. Of course the countries of the world will never do such a thing, they are too scared, and I suppose I should be too, just like every single non-white person I know and have ever known, just like every single exploited person in the US, just like every single exploited country in the third world.   Why is the US not joining the Human Rights Council? Because the US does not meet the criteria. With most countries in the world doing away with state execution and embracing real democracy the US falls far from short of ever meeting the standards.   Just look at the US record on such "Human" areas as education, healthcare, and the rights of the poor and the minorities. Minorities who are not really minorities anymore but in many areas have become the majority. Look at the unequal conditions under which they live. The racial inequality is a daily fact of life and one that most Americans who are effected by it will not do anything to stop, out of pure fear. I am afraid for my family and for the millions who are being kept down.   Everyone of you knows what I am talking about. In this I am addressing the non-white, non-republican, non-conventional, non-Catholic, non-anything population of the United States of America. Everyone of you who has dealt with it from first grade to old age knows what I am talking about. Everyone of you who has been beaten, been called racial epithets, been refused a loan, been denied employment, housing, medical care, and has had your lives turned inside out for no other reason than your appearance or orientation or religious beliefs. I am talking to you and I have one thing to say. It has got to stop.   In the next few weeks I will be detailing some of my past experiences in this area and I hope that you will come back and see what I have to say. This will be the first in a series titled, "Left for Dead" in which I will detail what it was like for me growing up and eventually leaving the United States.                 The Murder for Bucks Rolls On in Iraq:93/ "Operation Scorpion" The Pipeline; Next Iran and Then Syria 03-30-06   By John Robles II (jar2)            So apparently the big news of the day is that George Bush lied when he said he did not want to go to war and now the New York Times has published that fact as if it is one of the great scoops of the century. Every liberal blogger and anyone who has not been living with their head in the sand or under a rock for the past six years could have told you that very fact years ago, and the sad part is that they have. We have, and it has taken them, the major mass media this long to finally decide to publish something akin to the truth.         What is surprising for me is that people are making such a fuss about something so insignificant as that one lie and that not one of the major papers is doing anything to cover or delve into the greater and blacker lies that surround the whole 9-11 Iraq/War on Terror fiasco.           We all know about the American Plan for the New Millennium, (if you have not heard about it do a web search), and we all know that they, (The Bush clan/Cheney/Halliburton), are all getting filthy rich as a result, we have all heard about Bush's "trifecta" statement, Bush's plan to avenge the attempt on his father's life, the Saudi-Bush oil/business partnership, etc. etc. etc.. What most people are not aware of, as it has only been published in well-documented-detail on the web, from where it too has all but vanished, is that the planned invasion of Iraq and Iran were all drawn up by Rumsfeld, then Defense Secretary Dick Cheney and the then Defense Undersecretary for Policy Paul Wolfowitz  way back in the summer of 1990. One of the original plans, "Operation Scorpion", called for U.S. troops to attack Iraq from Saudi Arabia. Since that time and during the past three years there have appeared in the press hundreds of references to "Operation Scorpion" but all appearing to a more or less degree to be nothing more than disinformation or "Psy-Ops" pieces planted on mostly U.S. Military run web sites.              What "Operation Scorpion" really appears to be is the U.S. plan for the invasion, division, and eventual total control of the Middle East, this includes the required and already planned for invasion of Iran, and the taking control of Syria.              What is the reason for all of this, is it religious? Is it really in order to spread American style democracy throughout the region? Are those countries really so "Evil" as to warrant the killing of hundreds of thousands, and eventually millions of innocent civilians? No, no, and no. Try again.               It is in the press everyday, a piece here, a piece there, a corrupt politician arrested there, a CIA agent burned here, and on and on ad nauseam. What the people are missing and why George W Bush, incompetent-heritage-boy, was put in the White House in the first place, yes, "put", both elections were a farce, was to allow those with the real money and power to advance their plan. And what may that plan be? Hold on a sec and I will tell you, but first let us not forget that it is multi-pronged. Part of the plan allows for the building up of the U.S. Military Industrial Complex, which was seeing a significant downsizing during Clinton's Administration. He was hated by many at the Pentagon, remember, Monica? She was sent over from there. The other allows for the taking away of the rights and freedoms of Americans, especially minorities and other "unsavory" parts of the population, the reasons for this I will not go into right now, and the third, albeit primary reason is... Are you ready for this? The real reason is quite simply, drum-roll, an OIL PIPELINE. Yes, that's right humble-peace-loving-intelligent-folks, an oil pipeline.                You heard about the Bush families extensive ties to big oil and the Saudis, you know about Condo Rice's CEO position at Exxon, you know there is an Exxon oil tanker with her name on it, you know about Halliburton's oil interests and military support divisions. You know about Bin Laden a.k.a. Tom Osman (CIA Agent). You put all of that together and the myriad other facts all floating around out there and it should all begin to make sense.                 Look at the map for a minute. When Afghanistan was invaded there were news stories about an oil-pipeline project that got back under way right after the invasion. The news stories talked about a pipeline to the Caspian Sea, that is just part of the story. Look at the map. There are also plans for a pipeline through Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, into the Arabian Sea, this one would lie in the lowlands in the Western parts of these countries. Now those are all nice and sweet but the doozy and the big one would connect the West and possibly even China with loads and loads of Middle Eastern and central Asian oil. Possibly even Russian oil. The pipeline would connect Middle Eastern and Central Asian oil fields with the Mediterranean and would run through the relatively flat Northern Terrain of Iran passing just South of Tehran, past Kirkuk and Mosul in Northern Iraq and come out near the nice deep Super-Tanker friendly waters of the Mediterranean Sea near the Lebanese/Syrian border.                  Yes folks, people are dying left and right and the country is going into debt, all for a pipeline. But not for long though. Once that American controlled oil starts flowing, in about ten years time, the dollar will once again become the currency of international choice, and more importantly the currency of the oil trade. The U.S. will control the world's oil and all the fat cats' progenies will forever live in comfort. For that American soldiers are dying, Muslims are being demonized, women and children are being slaughtered, the Constitution is being used as toilet paper, and an mad megalomaniac mass murdering blithering idiot is making a mockery of the office of President.                     That is the way I see it.
