Long
before the war in Iraq started, March 2001 to be exact, an energy task
force led by Vice President Dick Cheney was studying maps of Iraq's oil
assets. The maps and charts that we have obtained show Iraqi oilfields,
refineries, pipelines, countries interested in doing business in Iraq,
as well as the cost and status of existing projects. The context, the
source, and why these documents have been released is open for
speculation. The mere fact that these things were considered and
discussed in detail long before the war is disturbing.

So apparently the big news of the day is that George Bush lied when he
said he did not want to go to war and now the New York Times has
published that fact as if it is one of the great scoops of the century.
Every liberal blogger and anyone who has not been living with their head
in the sand or under a rock for the past six years could have told you
that very fact years ago, and the sad part is that they have. We have,
and it has taken them, the major mass media this long to finally decide
to publish something akin to the truth.
What is surprising for me is that people are making such a fuss about
something so insignificant as that one lie and that not one of the major
papers is doing anything to cover or delve into the greater and blacker
lies that surround the whole 9-11 Iraq/War on Terror fiasco.
We all know about the American Plan for the New Millennium, (if you have
not heard about it do a web search), and we all know that they, (The
Bush clan/Cheney/Halliburton), are all getting filthy rich as a result,
we have all heard about Bush's "trifecta" statement, Bush's plan to
avenge the attempt on his father's life, the Saudi-Bush oil/business
partnership, etc. etc. etc.. What most people are not aware of, as it
has only been published in well-documented-detail on the web, from where
it too has all but vanished, is that the planned invasion of Iraq and
Iran were all drawn up by Rumsfeld, then Defense Secretary Dick Cheney
and the then Defense Undersecretary for Policy Paul Wolfowitz way
back in the summer of 1990. One of the original plans, "Operation
Scorpion", called for U.S. troops to attack Iraq from Saudi Arabia.
Since that time and during the past three years there have appeared in
the press hundreds of references to "Operation Scorpion" but all
appearing to a more or less degree to be nothing more than
disinformation or "Psy-Ops" pieces planted on mostly U.S. Military run
web sites.
What "Operation Scorpion" really appears to be is the U.S. plan for the
invasion, division, and eventual total control of the Middle East, this
includes the required and already planned for invasion of Iran, and the
taking control of Syria.
What is the reason for all of this, is it religious? Is it really in
order to spread American style democracy throughout the region? Are
those countries really so "Evil" as to warrant the killing of hundreds
of thousands, and eventually millions of innocent civilians? No, no, and
no. Try again.
It is in the press everyday, a piece here, a piece there, a corrupt
politician arrested there, a CIA agent burned here, and on and on ad
nauseam. What the people are missing and why George W Bush,
incompetent-heritage-boy, was put in the White House in the first place,
yes, "put", both elections were a farce, was to allow those with the
real money and power to advance their plan. And what may that plan be?
Hold on a sec and I will tell you, but first let us not forget that it
is multi-pronged. Part of the plan allows for the building up of the
U.S. Military Industrial Complex, which was seeing a significant
downsizing during Clinton's Administration. He was hated by many at the
Pentagon, remember, Monica? She was sent over from there. The other
allows for the taking away of the rights and freedoms of Americans,
especially minorities and other "unsavory" parts of the population, the
reasons for this I will not go into right now, and the third, albeit
primary reason is... Are you ready for this? The real reason is quite
simply, drum-roll, an OIL PIPELINE. Yes, that's right
humble-peace-loving-intelligent-folks, an oil pipeline.
You heard about the Bush families extensive ties to big oil and the
Saudis, you know about Condo Rice's CEO position at Exxon, you know
there is an Exxon oil tanker with her name on it, you know about
Halliburton's oil interests and military support divisions. You know
about Bin Laden a.k.a. Tom Osman (CIA Agent). You put all of that
together and the myriad other facts all floating around out there and it
should all begin to make sense.
Look at the map for a minute. When Afghanistan was invaded there were
news stories about an oil-pipeline project that got back under way right
after the invasion. The news stories talked about a pipeline to the
Caspian Sea, that is just part of the story. Look at the map. There are
also plans for a pipeline through Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, and
Pakistan, into the Arabian Sea, this one would lie in the lowlands in
the Western parts of these countries. Now those are all nice and sweet
but the doozy and the big one would connect the West and possibly even
China with loads and loads of Middle Eastern and central Asian oil.
Possibly even Russian oil. The pipeline would connect Middle Eastern and
Central Asian oil fields with the Mediterranean and would run through
the relatively flat Northern Terrain of Iran passing just South of
Tehran, past Kirkuk and Mosul in Northern Iraq and come out near the
nice deep Super-Tanker friendly waters of the Mediterranean Sea near the
Lebanese/Syrian border.
Yes folks, people are dying left and right and the country is going into
debt, all for a pipeline. But not for long though. Once that American
controlled oil starts flowing, in about ten years time, the dollar will
once again become the currency of international choice, and more
importantly the currency of the oil trade. The U.S. will control the
world's oil and all the fat cats' progenies will forever live in
comfort. For that American soldiers are dying, Muslims are being
demonized, women and children are being slaughtered, the Constitution is
being used as toilet paper, and an mad megalomaniac mass murdering
blithering idiot is making a mockery of the office of President.

for about four and a half years without charges, without rights, and
without hope.

homicides.[1] At least eight people were tortured to death. At least 98
detainees have died while in U.S. custody in Iraq or Afghanistan;[2]
At least 69 of the detainees died at locations other than Abu

At least 51 detainees have died in U.S. custody since
Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld was informed of the abuses at Abu Ghraib
on January 16, 2004;[4]
12 deaths have led to punishments of
U.S. personnel;[5]
0 CIA personnel have been charged with
wrongdoing in connection with alleged involvement in at least 5
deaths;[6]
As of November 2005, over 83,000 people have been
held in U.S. custody, and about 30,000 of those were entered “into the
system,” and assigned internment serial numbers in Iraq, Guantanamo Bay,
and Afghanistan;[7]
There have been nearly 600 criminal
investigations into allegations of detainee abuse; each investigation
tends to include more than one U.S. soldier, more than one instance of
abuse, and more than one victim. Allegations against 250 Soldiers have
been addressed in courts-martial, non-judicial punishments, and other
adverse administrative punishments. The highest ranking military member
judicially punished in connection with the death of a detainee is Marine
Major Clarke Paulus, who was found guilty of maltreatment and
dereliction of duty and dismissed from the service.[8]
Reportedly 100-150 individuals have been rendered from U.S. custody to a
foreign country known to torture prisoners, including to Egypt, Syria,
Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Pakistan;[9]
There are 6 main
acknowledged U.S. detention facilities worldwide--3 in Iraq, 2 in
Afghanistan and Guantanamo Bay;[10]
There are approximately 25
transient facilities - field prisons designed to house detainees only
for a short period until they can be released or transferred to a more
permanent facility-in Afghanistan and Iraq;[11]
There are
believed to be at least 11 ‘secret’ detention locations used since
September 2001. They are/were CIA facilities in Afghanistan, Guantanamo,
Poland, Romania, and Jordan, detention facilities in Alizai, Kohat and
Peshawar in Pakistan, a facility on the U.S. Naval Base on the island of
Diego-Garcia, and detentions of prisoners on U.S. ships, particularly
the USS Peleliu and USS Bataan.[12]
Over 15,000 people are
currently in U.S. detention in just Iraq, Afghanistan and Guantanamo
Bay. As of February 16, 2006, in Iraq, there were 14,389 detainees in
U.S. custody; as of December 2005, the U.S. was holding approximately
500 detainees in Afghanistan; as of February 10, 2006 there are
approximately 490 detainees held at Guantanamo Bay and one enemy
combatants held in the U.S.;[13]
36 prisoners are believed to be
held in unknown locations;[14]
At least 376 foreign fighters
detained in Iraq to whom the Administration has asserted the Geneva
Conventions do not apply;[15]
There were up to 100 ghost
detainees in Iraq;[16]
The U.S. transferred at least one dozen
prisoners out of Iraq for further interrogation in violation of the
Geneva Conventions;[17]
8 percent of 517 Guantanamo detainees
were considered al Qaeda fighters by the U.S. Government. Of the
remaining detainees, 40% have no definitive connection to al Qaeda or
Taliban.[18]
5 percent of the 517 detainees held at Guantanamo
were captured by the United States and the majority of those currently
in custody were turned over by other parties during a time when the
United States was offering large sums for captured prisoners.[19]
At least 267 detainees have been released from Guantanamo Bay since
January 2002. 187 were released out right, and 80 were transferred to
their home countries for continued detention;[20]
38 detainees
at Guantanamo determined not to be enemy combatants pursuant to CSRT and
at least 23 detainees subsequently released; 558 CSRTS conducted in
total[21]
As of February 9, 2006, the military had completed its
first round of Administrative Review Board (ARB) hearings, resulting in
463 board recommendations of which Deputy Secretary of Defense Gordon R.
England, the Designated Civilian Official for ARBs decided to allow 14
releases (3 percent), 120 transfers (26 percent) and to continue to
detain 329 individuals (71 percent);[22

We know from the
photographs that one child, the youngest, the baby, has a gaping wound
in his forehead. We can see that another child, a girl with a pink
ribbon in her hair, is lying on her side with blood oozing from the back
of her head. The faces of the other children are turned upward toward
the sun; if they were shot, they were shot somewhere in the back, and
their wounds are not evident. But we can see that their bodies, though
covered with dust from the rubble, are otherwise whole; they were
evidently not crushed in the collapse of the house. They died in some
other fashion.
We know from the photographs that two of the
children -- girls, still in their pajamas -- are lying with their dead
eyes open. We can see that the light and tenderness that animate the
eyes of every young child have vanished; nothing remains but the brute
stare of nothingness into nothingness. We can see that the other three
children have their eyes closed; two are limp, but the baby has one
stiffened arm raised to his cheek, as if trying to ward off the blow
that gashed and pulped his face so terribly.
We know that three years
ago this week, Bush nevertheless gave the order to begin the unprovoked,
unjust and unnecessary invasion of Iraq. He hasn't fired a single shot,
tortured any prisoners, beheaded any civilians or planted any bombs. Yet
every single atrocity of the war, on both sides, is the direct result of
the decision he made three years ago. Nothing he says can change this
fact. Nothing he does, or causes to be done, for good or ill, can wash
the blood of these children -- and the tens of thousands of other
innocent civilians killed in the war -- from his hands.

The big
scandal of the day seems to be some stupid comics of Mohammed which some
poor editor lost his job over. Frankly I don't see what the big deal is
but then again as an agnostic I guess I wouldn't. I guess you would have
to be a fanatical Muslim to be offended. You all know how I feel about
the mindless slaughter that is going on in Iraq and you know that second
only to George Bush it is what gets me the most but that doesn't mean I
support Islam or the psychopathic killers who run around killing
innocents in the name of Islam. So I say, "Hey, lighten up already".
Anyway here
are the comics that got the poor Dane fired. The one about the virgins
had me do a yahoo search for answers and I found 72 more questions that
I thought were pretty funny. I just don't get it, if you are Muslim and
go to heaven does that mean that shagging in mass quantities forever is
allowed? Isn't that kind of Satanic sounding? No offense but it doesn't

Modern apologists of Islam
try to downplay the evident materialism and sexual implications of such
descriptions, but, as the Encyclopaedia of Islam says, even orthodox
Muslim theologians such as al Ghazali (died 1111 CE) and Al-Ash'ari
(died 935 CE) have "admitted sensual pleasures into paradise". The
sensual pleasures are graphically elaborated by Al-Suyuti (died 1505 ),
Koranic commentator and polymath. He wrote: "Each time we sleep with a
houri we find her virgin. Besides, the penis of the Elected never
softens. The erection is eternal; the sensation that you feel each time
you make love is utterly delicious and out of this world and were you to
experience it in this world you would faint. Each chosen one [ie Muslim]
will marry seventy [sic] houris, besides the women he married on earth,

One of the reasons
Nietzsche hated Christianity was that it "made something unclean out of
sexuality", whereas Islam, many would argue, was sex-positive. One
cannot imagine any of the Church fathers writing ecstatically of
heavenly sex as al-Suyuti did, with the possible exception of St
Augustine before his conversion. But surely to call Islam sex-positive
is to insult all Muslim women, for sex is seen entirely from the male
point of view; women's sexuality is admitted
but seen as something to be feared, repressed, and a work of the devil
