May 09-10, 2004  The Pictures in the following two links were taken by me between the 9th and 10th of May. Closed Roads and tight security were the only signs that war is going on all over the world. Thankfully all of the events went off without a hitch and no terrorist acts took place during the victory day holidays.

May 05, 2004  Pictures

The streets were empty in the morning and security was extremely tight as the city prepared

for the May 1st parade down from Pushkin Square to the Kremlin and beyond. I was there and caught all the exciting

action on my SX-1. All pictures taken using a Siemens SX-1 smartphone and are Copyright by John Robles, if you would

like to use any of the pictures you find on this site please include a link back here. Hard copies of higher quality can be

ordered as well as custom shots. Enjoy. If you like what you see perhaps you would like to help keep us going and make

a donation. This site is run out of my own pocket, and to date has not made me a dime!
