08-31-05 (Tipo) How I spent my summer holiday, another UNPAID (hint) vacation. JAR2.com: PAY RAISE (hint) After getting stabbed in the back by a certain, ahem, uh, well, (gee I can't think of a low enough word for him), at work I decided to take a couple weeks off and drove to the Black Sea via Volgagrad, (Stalingrad)... The site of one of the greatest deciding battles of WWII. As Stalin said, " Stalingrad was the sunset of the fascist German army." During the summer I also got a chance to see some great planes and meet some great people. The pictures below show a brush fire burning about 120 kilometers north of Volgagrad, the "Mother of the Homeland" Monument, me in front of some of the exhibits at the Panorama Museum saluting the Nazi shit, I mean stuff, and some of the sights on the road. Yes those are real US warplanes and that is a real Sergent Walker. The little blue sign reads, "Don't mess with it, it will kill you", and the city limits sign reads "Cool", (not temperature related). Which in Russian means something more than just cool, but you get the general idea, the word itself can also mean, steep. Anyway thanks for visiting and have a great day. I hope you all had a great summer and that some SOB didn't try to destroy yours. Enjoy the photos and please, sign the GUESTBOOK. VACATION PICTURES
