Fear of the Government ? Follow up to "Dire Consequences"

"America is trapped in this notion that we care about human life." George Walker Bush

On US: "A government which rules by fear, imposing its iron will, through fear and terror and Machiavellian rules and regulations controlling every aspect of human life, on the people it is supposed to serve, cannot in any stretch of the imagination, be called the government of a free and just society, and was not what the founders of the Republic had in mind when the nation was born. An escape from tyranny was the basis for the birth of the Republic and the Constitution, the foundation on which the country was built, was written to guarantee that all men could live free. That same government has now become desperate trying to control what it cannot, the will of a people yearning for freedom and equality, by imposing greater tyranny on a people who will not let it stand, and by doing so will bring about the downfall of itself and the Republic. By  subserviently allowing such to stand, if so be the case, you are spitting on the Constitution, and deserve what you get."

The Pogrom Continues in Iraq/144/5 YEARS

Give GEORGE BUSH a big FUCK YOU

The monster responsible for 9-11 and the war in Iraq spoke today.

Five years. An estimated one Million Iraqi lives. Almost four thousand American lives. Countless crippled and injured. A trillion dollars. A country destroyed. Thousands of war crimes. Americas position in the world. The US economy in tatters. Four dollar a gallon gas. Two or three captured terrorists. And a megalomaniac who has single-handedly set the United on its own path of destruction and been allowed to do so. And then there is 9-11 and the man, George Herbert Bush’s agent Tom Ossman, aka Osama Bin Laden, who has never been caught, but who is probably already dead, or laughing it up somewhere nice and cozy.

I wondered what I was going to write on the five year anniversary of the biggest disaster in US history, having already had my passport revoked for publishing my views on 9-11 and the war criminals in the Bush administration I suppose I should be scared and shut my mouth, but I will not be silenced.

Reading a self-congratulatory article where Bush strokes himself with his own talking points I decided to just quote and counter it. Not a hard thing to do. Reading it made one thing crystal clear this president is completely and totally out of touch with reality.

Here goes.

Bush said last year's troop buildup has turned Iraq around and produced "the first large-scale Arab uprising against Osama bin Laden." Not true Iraq is more dangerous today and the only mass uprising has been against the USA.

"The challenge in the period ahead is to consolidate the gains we have made and seal the extremists' defeat," he said. We have not made any gains that I am aware of and the only people who have been defeated are the Iraqi people.
"

We have learned through hard experience what happens when we pull our forces back too fast — the terrorists and extremists step in, fill the vacuum, establish safe havens and use them to spread chaos and carnage." What the hell does he think has been happening for the last five years in Iraq. And it is we who are responsible for the chaos and carnage there.

Bush added: "The successes we are seeing in Iraq are undeniable, yet some in Washington still call for retreat." What the hell is he talking about? Would someone please let the rest of the world know what “successes” he is blabbering about? Retreat? We should never have been there in the first place.

"The surge has done more than turn the situation in Iraq around — it has opened the door to a major strategic victory in the broader war on terror," the president said. Will someone please tell this moron that you can not fight a war against “terrorism” it is a method of warfare. How can you fight a tactic?

I am getting nauseous but I will try to type some more.

"For the terrorists, Iraq was supposed to be the place where al-Qaida rallied Arab masses to drive America out. They were not even in Iraq until the US invaded it. Instead, Iraq has become the place where Arabs joined with Americans to drive al-Qaida out. Actually al-Qaida has joined the Iraqis to get the US out.

In Iraq, we are witnessing the first large-scale Arab uprising against Osama bin Laden, his grim ideology, and his terror network. And the significance of this development cannot be overstated." There are so many problems with that statement but a couple are; that al-Qaida was a very small and tight terrorist network funded by the US from the beginning to fight the Soviet Army in Afghanistan and the only large scale uprising has been and is going to be against the US.

So what has Bush accomplished in Iraq?

He killed Saddam Hussein for trying to whack his daddy.

And after all of that he still can’t get his greedy little hands on all of that Iraqi oil.

Iraq is a complete and utter failure, we should have never gone there, and we should have gotten out long ago.

Fuck you George Bush.

Now the world, with the recent actions of Bush and today’s statements by John Bolton, is starting to bear witness to the utter hypocrisy and the absolute failure that is the fascist government of the neo-con right.

For those who are paying attention and viewing matters with an even eye it is clear that something is terribly wrong with this picture. For Americans it has been something that we have known all along, for the rest of the world they are now getting a feel for what BushCo is and what it stands for.

I had originally intended to write some comments and thoughts on the latest disgraceful shenanigans of Bush but having just read the statement that was made by the man who is supposed to be the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations I am forced to comment on the complete and utterly Fascist sounding, hypocritical, and self-serving statements that he has made as well. I am at once shocked and surprised by what I have read. He basically said, in a nutshell, that Israeli lives are of more value than Lebanese lives, even if the Lebanese were Americans. I guess the holy right is now able to play the role of God and decide whose life has more worth.

Before I get on that topic let’s look at Bush’s comments during the last four days. Once again we are witness to the utter idiocy, arrogance, disconnectedness, indifference, and sanctimonious ignorance that Bush is the embodiment of.

Let’s start out with Germany and his recent comments about, the now famous, pig. Okay, maybe you’re thinking: “Why make a fuss about his comments about the pig John?” “The world is falling apart. Maybe he was hungry; maybe he was trying to inject some humor into the press conference. Why nit pick?” Oh, there goes John again, talking bad about Bush, you say. Think about it for a minute. How many things can you find wrong with all of it?

Did you think? Well let’s start out with the fact that here is a president who has caused more death and destruction to innocent lives than any single human being in recent history. Here is a president whose own country has, in effect, said he is guilty of war crimes and in open violation of the Constitution. A man who is violating the Geneva Conventions on a daily basis, violating international laws on torture, detention, and has with impunity launched an aggressive war without precedent. Here is a U.S. President who has brought the U.S. down to the lowest level it has possibly ever been on the world stage. Here is a president who is unpopular, ridiculed, and laughed at back home. And he has the nerve to try to make jokes. Pointed jokes when asked about the situation between Muslims and Jews in Lebanon and Israel as neither culture is allowed to eat “pig”.

Here is a president whose failed policies and disengagement have caused: an escalation in the nuclear problem with North Korea and a more than five-fold multiplication of their nuclear arsenal, a complete destabilization of the Middle East (and he refuses to take any steps to bring peace to the region), as well as forming the ideological basis for more terrorists and terrorist acts than any other leader in the history of the world. He is also directly responsible for the deaths of close to 250,000 civilians in Iraq. He has recently discussed launching a first strike nuclear attack against Iran, and an invasion of North Korea. Then there is the fact that he has not been able to contain the Taliban in Afghanistan or claim a victory there. Under his watch once friendly countries in Central Asia have began to disallow the U.S. military to use their countries as bases for attacks in Afghanistan and Iraq or have raised the rents to astronomical levels. He has also caused deterioration in relations with Russia, which under Clinton were improving immensely.

Then there is the situation in the U.S. which we won’t go into right now as it would take too long. To put it simply there are those in power who are now openly saying that what the U.S. has now is “soft Fascism”.

So here is a man who should have the weight of the world on his shoulders. Who should be thinking soberly and deeply and using his advisors and his unlimited resources to solve these problems, since it is obvious he himself lacks the wisdom or the desire. Is he? No.

For those reasons it is offensive and should be to any thinking human, be they Liberal, Conservative, Muslim, Jew, Buddhist, Christian, etc., that he should laugh and joke about “slicing the pig”. Well George you are what you eat. I myself eat pork. You, pig. And it was a boar by the way, but we will assume you do not know the difference. To see his picture in the press standing next to the charred carcass of the boar and grinning with a piece of meat in his hand epitomizes his barbaric nature.

I found the whole display disgusting, pathetic, and shameful. But that’s me. Perhaps he was playing to his base back home. Maybe back on the pseudo ranches of Texas the rednecks were cheering and the Neo-Nazis were proudly sieg-heiling that in the cradle of Fascism their new leader was laughing it up with a burned carcass while the world is falling apart and some are seriously beginning to predict WW III. Perhaps I have lived in Europe too long but the whole display seemed completely idiotic as does the man responsible.

Okay so that is my take on “Bush’s pig”.

What about the open mike at the G-8 conference and the “possibly” candid comments of Bush to Blair?

Again he has shown his ignorance, crudeness, and proven that he is an idiot. If you have not seen the news sites take a look. He showed what a “high-class” guy he is by using the word “shit” when addressing Prime Minister Tony Blair.

He obviously was out of touch with the fact that Syria does not have the influence over the Hezbollah that they once had, he made it clear to all that he still knows nothing about simple geography when believing President Putin’s fight back to Moscow would take six hours and he has shown complete disrespect for Kofi Annan and at the same time Blair by his statements against a cease fire.

I think Tony Blair knew all along the mike was on. In that case he too has had it with Bush. He spoke as a statesman and seriously addressed the current situation in the Middle East, as did the German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Now we move on to John Bolton’s statement. The reason that this is extremely disturbing, especially if you are not one of those people who believes we should just kill each and every Muslim, is that this is obviously a statement by an official which reflects the official stance of the U.S. Government.

Let’s remember that the death count is: Israel 12 civilians and 12 soldiers- Lebanon 195 civilians and 12 soldiers.

At the risk of being called anti-Semitic, which I am not, I believe that Israel’s response was total overkill. Remember this all started with the kidnapping of one soldier. Sure Lebanon has launched missiles, AFTER Israeli air-strikes. Who is defending themselves here? Israel has destroyed the painstakingly rebuilt infrastructure of Beirut which is going to harm who? Civilians.

Here is his statement: "I think it would be a mistake to ascribe moral equivalence to civilians who die as the direct result of malicious terrorist acts," he added, while defending as "self-defense" Israel's military action, which has had "the tragic and unfortunate consequence of civilian deaths".

So morally it is okay to kill the Lebanese because it is “self-defense” but it is tragic that Israelis have died. For the record, these were U.S. citizens of Lebanese extraction that he was talking about.

What’s the difference? You guessed it. They were brown-skinned and probably Muslims.

Neo-Con Fascism going world-wide!

The Pogrom Coming to Iran: 101/

Dick "the Dick" Tries to Dick Around with Russia/

JAR2's Questions for Dick

05-05-06

Cheney had a lot of crap to say about Russia in his attempt to get former Soviet Republics to support the invasion of Iran. For example he had this to say; "In many areas of civil society -- from religion and the news media to advocacy groups and political parties -- the government has unfairly and improperly restricted the rights of her people," To which I say go look in the mirror Dick, go and look at what you have done to the United States and to the world Dick. There are not millions of immigrants protesting here Dick. There are not people who are afraid to say things against the government and against the president here Dick. In fact the president of Russia is respected and loved by the Russian people Dick. He is not an arrogant spoiled rich brat like the emperor in charge of you Dick. You want to talk about civil society Dick, you don't know dick Dick. You want to harp on religion Dick, what happened to the separation of church and state on your watch Dick? Why are Muslims beaten, Jews abused, Liberals marginalized, Baptists, Lutherans, Buddhists, and all the rest ostracized and categorized as second class by you and your Reich of Evangelical hypocrites who use the bible like it is your own to interpret and use to support your hate seething, greed infested, warmongering, profiteering fascist death machine.

You want to talk about the media Dick? Why don't you answer to the world why Faux news and all of the major news outlets are too afraid to publish the real hard news on you and the murdering tyrant you play second fiddle to.

You want to talk about restricting the rights of the people Dick? You want to talk about democracy Dick? You call the Patriot act democracy Dick? You call spying on U.S. citizens at your leisure democracy Dick? You call an apartheid like system of racial classification, profiling, and segregation brought about by the roll back of the gains made in the civil rights era democracy Dick? You call trying to make the exploited immigrants into criminals democracy Dick? Immigrants that you and all your rich boy cronies use and abuse to make a buck, but then again you could exploit them better if they were in prison couldn't you Dick? They could be made to work for absolutely nothing then, huh Dick?

You want to talk about advocacy groups Dick? What about all of the 5000 or so Americans being held in secret because you deemed them to be terrorist threats? They don't have the right to have advocates. What about the thousands being held in Guantanamo Bay? They have any rights Dick? What about the people in secret CIA prisons in Europe and the people tortured until you get a confession from them for crimes they have not done, they have any rights to advocates? Huh Dick? No problem in the U.S. for advocacy groups huh Dick? As long as they tow your line.

Political parties Dick? You have cowed the American people into submission with your one party government of corruption and greed. Your government is not responding to more than half of the population. You have turned the U.S. into a dictatorship of the neo-con. You call that democracy Dick?

You want to talk about the rights of the people Dick? People are not free to travel, they are not free to speak their minds, you have taken away the rights of the people to protest and question the government,  and along with Bush you ignore more than 750 of your own laws not to mention the laws and the standards of the rest of the world. You call ignoring the Geneva conventions democracy Dick? You call alienating all of the allies of the U.S. with your failed policies democracy Dick?

You call the habitual arrest, harrassment, and detention of people on U.S. soil because they are dark in color or look foreign, democracy Dick? You are full of crap Dick.

"No legitimate interest is served when oil and gas become tools of intimidation or blackmail, either by supply manipulation or attempts to monopolize transportation. You have a lot of nerve Dick. You want to talk about intimidation Dick? You are threatening a sovereign nation with nuclear weapons because they are trying to develop Nuclear power. You are threatening Russia with your rhetoric if Russia doesn't tow your line and allow you to invade Iran. You want to talk about oil and gas manipulation? You are an expert, you are at the top of the food chain on that blood soaked business aren't you Dick? You want to talk about supply and demand manipulation, you had the American people believing that if you stole Iraqs oil they would be paying less at the gas pump but they are not are they Dick? You are raping them at the gas pump and killing hundreds of thousands in order to control the world's oil. You want to talk about mainpulation and monopolization Dick? Look at your own damn policies. That is what you are doing, but then it doesn't apply to you does it. Just like everything else you and the emp-error think doesn't apply to you. You are a war criminal Dick. What if you were arrested and tried , but then again international law does not apply to you either does it Dick?

And no one can justify actions that undermine the territorial integrity of a neighbor, or interfere with democratic movements," he said. How dare you talk about territorial integrity Dick? You have invaded two countries and want to invade a third and you talk about territorial integrity? You want to talk about interefering with democratic movements Dick? What have you done to Democrats in the U.S. Dick? You have stolen two elections, trampled the constitution, made a mockery of everything the founding fathers fought for and you want to talk about democracy.

"Peaceful demonstrators have been beaten, dissidents have vanished, and a climate of fear prevails," he said. "There is no place in a Europe whole and free for a regime of this kind." What about all of the peaceful demostrators that have been beaten in the U.S.? Not to mention those being held without due process and under secret arrest? What about them Dick? You know the ones in U.S. federal prisons. What about the fear in the media, and in the heart of Americans that if they say something out of line bad things will happen to them? You can sneer at me if you want Dick, you can threaten to kill me if you want Dick, your minions can send me hate mail Dick, but I am in the free country of Russia Dick. I can say whatever I want here Dick. I can live without fear here Dick. I can be proud to be a brown-native-American-liberal-atheist-Jewish-black-rocker here Dick. You must have confused Russia with the U.S. Dick. I can't wait, soon the day will come when U.N. Sactions are levied on the U.S. for your unfair treatment of Blacks, Minorites, and Native peoples. Soon you may have to answer for violations of the Geneva conventions. Maybe I am dreaming but it would be just. Russia is a great place. It is truly freer than anywhere else and there are not people living in fear of the state here. I can gaurantee you that Dick. You have really riled me Dick and you know what Dick? You suck, Dick....

SEE:  DICK

Analysts said Cheney's harsh words were intended largely to appease domestic critics of U.S. President George W. Bush, including many from his own party, who charge that he is ignoring anti-democratic trends in Russia.

Sure tell the ignorant minions that the "Russians" are against democracy Dick. But you know better don't you Dick? You know that democracy is thriving everywhere except at home. You know that you are on a sinking ship. You know that the dollar is losing it hold on the world market and that the dollar is struggling against the ruble. You know that you do not want to have a strong Russia in the world so try to say bad things and if you repeat them enough maybe people will believe you. But that is the Republican way isn't it Dick? Russia is a free country Dick. I can testify to that Dick. The Spanish are against you, Europeans are against you, Muslims are against you, the Chinese, even the English, Canadians, and Australians are beginning to pull out, so what are you going to do now? Alienate the Russians too? I have lived here for too long so maybe I am blind, maybe you can describe all of these anti-democratic trends for me Dick? I don't seem to be able to see them for myself Dick. Great way to save your ass back home Dick. But it will not work Dick, better regroup and plan something else Dick.

"THE DECIDER"

Believes He's Above the Law

05-02-06

If he can rig elections, kill thousands upon thousands of innocent Americans, do business with known terrorists, commit treason by burning CIA agents, start aggressive wars, ignore the Geneva conventions and UN mandates, openly replace governments, torture and imprison at his leisure, be guilty of war profiteering, spit on the Constitution, blaspheme the Church, imprison Americans without due process, spy on Americans, ignore the will of the international community, murder and pillage at will then what the hell do a few (750) little pesky laws mean. Nothing, for he is the "decider", I guess that is what you call a dictator these days. It's about time he was stopped, write your congressman, tell your friends, boycott the war profiteers, start a blog, buy a bumper sticker, help organize a protest, call for UN resolutions against Bush, call for his impeachment, do anything you can. If not for your children then for the innocent millions that will die if he is allowed to continue his plans, including the invasion of Iran. Our children deserve a better world if we fail them then we have failed completely. John

SEE:  RAW STORY

SNIPPET WASHINGTON -- The chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, accusing the White House of a ''very blatant encroachment" on congressional authority, said yesterday he will hold an oversight hearing into President Bush's assertion that he has the power to bypass more than 750 laws enacted over the past five years.
''There is some need for some oversight by Congress to assert its authority here," Arlen Specter, Republican of Pennsylvania, said in an interview. ''What's the point of having a statute if . . . the president can cherry-pick what he likes and what he doesn't like?"

SNIPPET The statutes that Bush has asserted the right to override include numerous rules and regulations for the military, job protections for whistle-blowers who tell Congress about possible government wrongdoing, affirmative action requirements, and safeguards against political interference in federally funded research.

10-08-03

There is a common underlying thread that connects all of the events surrounding the Bush administration that have been making the news since he has been in the White House that seem more and more to point to a much blacker and secret agenda than what most of us would care to believe were possible from elected officials. But is he in fact an "elected" official? There are those who have believed since the day that he has occupied 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue that he is not the rightful resident of that address. There was so much speculation in the days following the presidential election and so many different theories as to how the election results were manipulated that soon they became just that, theories and speculation, finally being silenced by carefully orchestrated hearings and clever manipulation of the press. There was so much made of the "checks and balances" that most were convinced, most but not all of us. There are so many reasons why, but there has never been a reasonable explanation as to how, until now. See: www.blackboxvoting.org the most serious explanation we have seen to date as to the how.

We have also learned that Hillary Clinton will probably be running for president in 2004, see: www.fec.gov , and are happy to hear it.

The latest news around the naming by the White House of a CIA operative seemed to  take a predictable but unprecedented move when the White House decided that all information would be sanitized before being handed over to the Department of Justice. "To allow the White House counsel to review records before the prosecutors would see them is just about unheard of in the way cases are always prosecuted," said Sen. Charles Schumer, D N.Y., speaking on NBC's Today show. "And the possibility of mischief, or worse than mischief, is very, very large." Hiding behind phrases like "National Security" Bush is once again snubbing his nose at all of us and getting away with whatever he wants. An administration official also stated that the documents must also be reviewed for national security or executive privilege concerns and to ensure the filings are responsive to Justice Department requests for information. I think that in the name of National Security the man who is occupying the White House must be removed and must not be allowed to use the office to further his own ends any longer.

It is beyond comprehension that people would buy anything that comes out of George the Evil's mouth anymore his faltering 3rd grade English and his sneering snarling visage hardly conducive to believability, yet there are people who still support him. The latest bald faced lie that you are supposed to buy into is that he is actually concerned that he and his oil company cronies are raping you at the gas pump. The wars in the Middle East were started for oil and the invasion of Iran is going to happen for oil as well. They need the oil and US law forbids them to do business with countries whose form of government is deemed to be in-conducive to US investment. That is the bottom line, so an Iranian invasion is necessary to continue the pipeline, I detailed below, as well as for many other reasons that I have mentioned on the site before. The change by Iran in their oil trade to the Euro is another huge reason.  Impeach the bastard.

More to come on this, my 100th posting relating to Bush and the pogrom in Iraq.... Next the elections and 9-11.

The Election of 2000

The election of 2000 was not an election of the people. Amid widespread irregularities that saw the votes of blacks and minorities ignored and miscounted George Walker Bush was handed the election not by the people but by the Supreme Court which had been bought.

Being as the United States is still a country that is segregated, blacks live in their own areas, Hispanics in theirs, it was possible by manipulating these poorer areas to change vote results. In 2000 with his brother as the governor of Florida this was possible for George Walker Bush. Anyone could tell you that there is no way so many Blacks and Hispanics voted for the racist, rich, and only for the whites party that is the GOP. Clinton was extremely popular with these segments of the population because he genuinely did many things in his eight years as president to help the less fortunate.

What the GOP has basically done since then, and this is obvious if one pays even passing attention to the issues that have been decided on by the GOP is to put minorities back in their place. A fact that almost all minorities are afraid to discuss or do anything about. So through fear, intimidation, racial profiling, budgetary manipulation, control of the press, control of the police forces, medical establishments, educational institutions and the business, banking, and manufacturing sectors, the GOP and the fascist, white, elements of the population have been able to maintain an unequal system where whites are in control, as has always been the case in the US.

This  system for a lack of a better word one could call fascism, a republic controlled by the corporations and designed to keep one segment of the population in control. On the domestic front that is the GOP's hidden agenda. If one wishes to argue with me just look at the statistics and look at the houses of government apart from the token Black or Hispanic here and there the majority is white and male. In no way a reflection of the electorate, in a just system to begin with more, than 50% should be women.

How he did it we all know. Through the use of electronic paperless voting machines. If you are in doubt then explain away the fact that George Walker Bush refused to allow the United Nations to examine the election results and has continued to do so. Even third world countries are monitored regularly. No American president has ever refused scrutiny of election results. Why did GWB? Because he had a lot to hide, and not only in Florida.

9-11: A Billion Dollar Coup d'etat

A mountain of undeniable facts as laid out by the film Loose Change.

1. August 1997 FEMA's Emergency Response to Terrorism handbook depicts the World Trade center in crosshairs.

2. In 1999 NORAD conducted hijacking exercises where planes were flown into the Pentagon and the World Trade Center.

3. June 2000 DOJ releases a terrorism manual with the World Trade Center in crosshairs again.

4. September 2000 the Project for a New American Century releases a report called Rebuilding America's Defenses in which they state that without an event such as a new Pearl Harbor the process of transformation  is likely to be a long one.

5. October 24, 2000 the Pentagon conducts the first in a series of training exercises called MASCAL the pretext of which is a passenger airliner, a Boeing 757, crashing into the Pentagon. Charles Burlingame an ex Navy F-4 pilot who worked in the Pentagon participated in the exercise before retiring to take a job with American Airlines, less than a year later the American Airlines plane, a Boeing 757, that he was the Captain of supposedly crashed into the Pentagon.

6. April 2001  NORAD plans an exercise in which a plane is flown into the Pentagon but it is rejected as too unrealistic.

7. June 2001 new instructions are implemented to deal with intervention in the case of a hijacking, part of it reads: " For all non-immediate responses the DOD must get permission directly from the SOD. Donald Rumsfeld.

Attorney General John Ashcroft begins flying only on charter jets due to a threat assessment by the FBI.

8. July 4, 2001 Osama Bin Laden receives medical help at the American Hospital in Dubai. While he is there he is visited by the local chief of the CIA.

9. July 24, 2001 Larry A Silverstein signs a 3.2 billion dollar 99 year lease on the entire World Trade Center complex, this was six weeks before 9-11, part of the lease included a 3.5 billion dollar insurance policy that specifically covered acts of terrorism.

10. September 6, 2001 suspicious trading of American Airlines stock takes place.

Bomb sniffing dogs were pulled off the World Trade Center and security guards were pulled of the twelve hour shifts that they had been working.

11. September 7, 2001 More excessive trading of American Airline stock involving PUT options which means that people were betting that the stock would fall.

12. September 10, 2001 more of the same. Newsweek reported that a number of top Pentagon officials cancelled their flight plans for the next morning.

Willie Brown the Mayor of San Francisco receives a phone call from Condi Rice  warning him not to fly the next day.

In Pakistan at a military hospital all of the urologists are replaced by a special team in order to host Osama Bin Laden, who was well cared for and looked after.

13. September 11, 2001 with most of the intercept aircraft on training exercises in Canada and in the far North or sent far from Washington and New York on training exercises, there were only 14 aircraft left to guard the entire United States.

September 11, 2001 eyewitnesses claimed that the aircraft had no windows and sported a round blue emblem on the nose. Others reported seeing missiles and the presence of missile like mounting on the wings and the underside of the planes.

9:38 Hani Hanjoor, a very unskilled pilot, executes a 330 degree turn at 530 mph descending 7,000 feet in 2.5 minutes to crash American Airlines flight 77 into the ground floor of the Pentagon. Experts said it could not have flown at those speeds without going into a high speed stall and that at such high Gs the plane would have just fallen out of the sky. All of the experienced air traffic controllers who watched the plane that was supposed to be flight 77 maneuvering and turning believed that it was a military fighter plane. All of the lights poles that flight 77 was supposed to have sheered of seemed to have just popped out of the ground, under normal circumstances they would have ripped the wings right off of the planes. If you look at the photos and listen to the eyewitness accounts it is clear that a commercial airliner did not hit the pentagon the damage was consistent with a missile strike. Although the plane was supposed to have melted upon impact all of the bodies on board were identified by the same forensic laboratory that identified the non casualties in Pennsylvania. You get the idea. The only piece of wreckage was part of a J3-8D turbojet engine from a US Air force A-3 Sky Warrior. The few A-3s left are stored by Ratheon in Van Nuys California. A diffuser case was also found not belonging to a 757. Through analysis it is clear that a missile such as a Tomahawk was used to create the damage.

9:59 The South Tower collapses in about ten seconds, 29 minutes later the North Tower collapses in about ten seconds as well.

5:20 World Trade Center 7, a 47 story office building 300 feet away from the World Trade Center collapses in under 6 seconds into a neat little pile, while all of the buildings surrounding it were undamaged. These are the first three building in history to collapse because of a fire. The buildings came down in almost free fall speed, witnesses, video-tapes and expert testimony make it clear the the world trade center was demolished using controlled explosions that had been placed in the buildings in strategic locations earlier and then detonated in order to cause the buildings to collapse, some witnesses reported up to six simultaneous explosions concurrent with the six support structures of the buildings.

10:00 Cleveland Hopkins Airport was evacuated amidst fears that a hijacked plane was about to land

10:06 Flight 93 was supposedly headed for the White House and crashed into a field in Pennsylvania witnesses said there was nothing to be seen at the crash scene and nothing that resembled an airline crash. The debris that was found was able to be carried away by hand in several plastic bags.

10:10 The sixty nine people on flight 1989, the first plane that landed in Cleveland, were evacuated to the FAA HQ in two hours and twenty minutes and later released.

10:45 The two hundred people on board flight 93 were evacuated to a special NASA building in under thirty minutes and never heard from again.

11:43 Cleveland WCPO a local television station in Cincinnati Ohio reported that two planes landed at  Cleveland Hopkins Airport due to a bomb threat, United identified the plane as flight 93.

October 12, 2001 Donald Rumsfeld, in an interveiw with Parade Magazine, mentions a missle that damged the world trade center even though offically one was never mentioned

Bin Laden's original statement: "The U.S. government has consistently blamed me for being behind every attack. I would like to assure the world that I did not plan the recent attacks, which seems to have been planned by people for personal reasons. I have been living in the Islamic emirate of Afghanistan and following its leaders' rules. The current leader does not allow me to exercise such operations."

April 10, 2003 Chicago O'Hare: flight 93 is spotted its tail number N591UA is spotted on flight 1111. According to the FAA N612UA the Pentagon plane and N591UA, the Pennsylvania plane, are still valid numbers.

9 of the 19 hijackers are still alive and well.

The Bin Laden confession tape was a fake.

Motives

Why?: Silverstein demanded 7.2 billion dollars from his insurers. Received 2.2b

Stocks 2.5 million in profits remains unclaimed.

Convar states that there is suspicion that some people had advance knowledge of the time of the crashes in order to move out amounts exceeding $100 million.

$160 billion dollars in gold but only $200 million was found in an empty ten wheeled truck with an empty escort of cars which had been abandoned just before the tower collapsed fleeing the south tower.

Vice President Richard B. Cheney,

Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld, and
Attorney General Alberto Gonzales

The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors. - - ARTICLE II, SECTION 4 OF THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

1) Seizing power to wage wars of aggression in defiance of the U.S. Constitution, the U.N. 9) Acting to strip United States citizens of their constitutional and human rights, ordering indefinite detention of citizens, without access to counsel, without charge, and without opportunity to appear before a civil judicial officer to challenge the detention, based solely on the discretionary designation by the Executive of a citizen as an "enemy combatant."

10) Ordering indefinite detention of non-citizens in the United States and elsewhere, and without charge, at the discretionary designation of the Attorney General or the Secretary of Defense.

11) Ordering and authorizing the Attorney General to override judicial orders of release of detainees under INS jurisdiction, even where the judicial officer after full hearing determines a detainee is wrongfully held by the government.

16) Ordering and authorizing the seizure of assets of persons in the United States, prior to hearing or trial, for lawful or innocent association with any entity that at the discretionary designation of the Executive has been deemed "terrorist."

17) Engaging in criminal neglect in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, depriving thousands of people in Louisiana, Mississippi and other Gulf States of urgently needed support, causing mass suffering and unnecessary loss of life.

"THE DECIDER"

I haven't had a lot of time lately to post anything on the site but this is rich. KING OF THE WORLD SPEAKS OUT regarding incompetent defense secretary. Seems everything now is "Up to George". Tyranny the neo-con way. Would make Hitler proud. I think it is about time to have Bush committed.

'THE DECIDER'
"I hear the voices. And I read the front page. And I know the speculation. But I'm the decider. And I decide what is best. And what's best is for Don Rumsfeld to remain as the secretary of defense," said Bush, whose public approval ratings are at a low for his presidency amid waning domestic support for the Iraq war.

President of the United States

Guilty of

TREASON !?!/

NOW HE WANTS TO USE NUKES!?!?!

04-09-06

It is as I have said all along. The man posing as the president of the United States has committed crimes against humanity and treason, he has been supported by the most criminally corrupt party in the history of the United States and has caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands. All in a blatant power grab to enrich himself and his cronies. If he is guilty of treason, starting an aggressive war  on false pretenses would it be such a far fetched theory that he and his inner circle ordered the destruction of the World Trade Center. As he himself said after 9-11, he had hit the trifecta....And now they want to unleash nuclear weapons on Iran... The world must do something to stop the madman...

Burning CIA Officer 1: The court papers say that in the weeks before Plame's identity was revealed, Bush authorized Cheney's chief of staff, I. Lewis Libby, to leak intelligence from a classified document to rebut a war critic, Joe Wilson

Burning CIA Officer 2: White House spokesman Scott McClellan said at the time: "If anyone in this administration was involved in it (the CIA leak), they would no longer be in this administration."

Democrats mocked those earlier statements in light of the new allegations.

"The president all the time was looking for himself," Sen. John Kerry, Bush's vanquished 2004 presidential challenger, said on the "Imus in the Morning" radio and television show

NUKES !!!???: One of the options under consideration involves the possible use of a bunker-buster tactical nuclear weapon, such as the B61-11, to insure the destruction of Iran's main centrifuge plant at Natanz, Hersh writes.

"Operation Scorpion" The Pipeline;

Next Iran and Then Syria

03-30-06

By John Robles II (jar2)

So apparently the big news of the day is that George Bush lied when he said he did not want to go to war and now the New York Times has published that fact as if it is one of the great scoops of the century. Every liberal blogger and anyone who has not been living with their head in the sand or under a rock for the past six years could have told you that very fact years ago, and the sad part is that they have. We have, and it has taken them, the major mass media this long to finally decide to publish something akin to the truth.

What is surprising for me is that people are making such a fuss about something so insignificant as that one lie and that not one of the major papers is doing anything to cover or delve into the greater and blacker lies that surround the whole 9-11 Iraq/War on Terror fiasco.

We all know about the American Plan for the New Millennium, (if you have not heard about it do a web search), and we all know that they, (The Bush clan/Cheney/Halliburton), are all getting filthy rich as a result, we have all heard about Bush's "trifecta" statement, Bush's plan to avenge the attempt on his father's life, the Saudi-Bush oil/business partnership, etc. etc. etc.. What most people are not aware of, as it has only been published in well-documented-detail on the web, from where it too has all but vanished, is that the planned invasion of Iraq and Iran were all drawn up by Rumsfeld, then Defense Secretary Dick Cheney and the then Defense Undersecretary for Policy Paul Wolfowitz  way back in the summer of 1990. One of the original plans, "Operation Scorpion", called for U.S. troops to attack Iraq from Saudi Arabia. Since that time and during the past three years there have appeared in the press hundreds of references to "Operation Scorpion" but all appearing to a more or less degree to be nothing more than disinformation or "Psy-Ops" pieces planted on mostly U.S. Military run web sites.

What "Operation Scorpion" really appears to be is the U.S. plan for the invasion, division, and eventual total control of the Middle East, this includes the required and already planned for invasion of Iran, and the taking control of Syria.

What is the reason for all of this, is it religious? Is it really in order to spread American style democracy throughout the region? Are those countries really so "Evil" as to warrant the killing of hundreds of thousands, and eventually millions of innocent civilians? No, no, and no. Try again.

It is in the press everyday, a piece here, a piece there, a corrupt politician arrested there, a CIA agent burned here, and on and on ad nauseam. What the people are missing and why George W Bush, incompetent-heritage-boy, was put in the White House in the first place, yes, "put", both elections were a farce, was to allow those with the real money and power to advance their plan. And what may that plan be? Hold on a sec and I will tell you, but first let us not forget that it is multi-pronged. Part of the plan allows for the building up of the U.S. Military Industrial Complex, which was seeing a significant downsizing during Clinton's Administration. He was hated by many at the Pentagon, remember, Monica? She was sent over from there. The other allows for the taking away of the rights and freedoms of Americans, especially minorities and other "unsavory" parts of the population, the reasons for this I will not go into right now, and the third, albeit primary reason is... Are you ready for this? The real reason is quite simply, drum-roll, an OIL PIPELINE. Yes, that's right humble-peace-loving-intelligent-folks, an oil pipeline.

You heard about the Bush families extensive ties to big oil and the Saudis, you know about Condo Rice's CEO position at Exxon, you know there is an Exxon oil tanker with her name on it, you know about Halliburton's oil interests and military support divisions. You know about Bin Laden a.k.a. Tom Osman (CIA Agent). You put all of that together and the myriad other facts all floating around out there and it should all begin to make sense.

Look at the map for a minute. When Afghanistan was invaded there were news stories about an oil-pipeline project that got back under way right after the invasion. The news stories talked about a pipeline to the Caspian Sea, that is just part of the story. Look at the map. There are also plans for a pipeline through Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, into the Arabian Sea, this one would lie in the lowlands in the Western parts of these countries. Now those are all nice and sweet but the doozy and the big one would connect the West and possibly even China with loads and loads of Middle Eastern and central Asian oil. Possibly even Russian oil. The pipeline would connect Middle Eastern and Central Asian oil fields with the Mediterranean and would run through the relatively flat Northern Terrain of Iran passing just South of Tehran, past Kirkuk and Mosul in Northern Iraq and come out near the nice deep Super-Tanker friendly waters of the Mediterranean Sea near the Lebanese/Syrian border.

Yes folks, people are dying left and right and the country is going into debt, all for a pipeline. But not for long though. Once that American controlled oil starts flowing, in about ten years time, the dollar will once again become the currency of international choice, and more importantly the currency of the oil trade. The U.S. will control the world's oil and all the fat cats' progenies will forever live in comfort. For that American soldiers are dying, Muslims are being demonized, women and children are being slaughtered, the Constitution is being used as toilet paper, and an mad megalomaniac mass murdering blithering idiot is making a mockery of the office of President.

That is the way I see it. See you all later.

NSA, the Agency That Could Be Big Brother
By James Bamford
The New York Times

Sunday 25 December 2005

Washington - Deep in a remote, fog-layered hollow near Sugar Grove, W.Va., hidden by fortress-like mountains, sits the country's largest eavesdropping bug. Located in a "radio quiet" zone, the station's large parabolic dishes secretly and silently sweep in millions of private telephone calls and e-mail messages an hour.

Run by the ultrasecret National Security Agency, the listening post intercepts all international communications entering the eastern United States. Another NSA listening post, in Yakima,Wash., eavesdrops on the western half of the country.

A hundred miles or so north of Sugar Grove, in Washington, the NSA has suddenly taken center stage in a political firestorm. The controversy over whether the president broke the law when he secretly ordered the NSA to bypass a special court and conduct warrantless eavesdropping on American citizens has even provoked some Democrats to call for his impeachment.

According to John E. McLaughlin, who as the deputy director of the Central Intelligence Agency in the fall of 2001 was among the first briefed on the program, this eavesdropping was the most secret operation in the entire intelligence network, complete with its own code word - which itself is secret.

Jokingly referred to as "No Such Agency," the NSA was created in absolute secrecy in 1952 by President Harry S. Truman. Today, it is the largest intelligence agency. It is also the most important, providing far more insight on foreign countries than the CIA and other spy organizations.

But the agency is still struggling to adjust to the war on terror, in which its job is not to monitor states, but individuals or small cells hidden all over the world. To accomplish this, the NSA has developed ever more sophisticated technology that mines vast amounts of data. But this technology may be of limited use abroad. And at home, it increases pressure on the agency to bypass civil liberties and skirt formal legal channels of criminal investigation. Originally created to spy on foreign adversaries, the NSA was never supposed to be turned inward. Thirty years ago, Senator Frank Church, the Idaho Democrat who was then chairman of the select committee on intelligence, investigated the agency and came away stunned.

"That capability at any time could be turned around on the American people," he said in 1975, "and no American would have any privacy left, such is the capability to monitor everything: telephone conversations, telegrams, it doesn't matter. There would be no place to hide."

He added that if a dictator ever took over, the NSA "could enable it to impose total tyranny, and there would be no way to fight back."

At the time, the agency had the ability to listen to only what people said over the telephone or wrote in an occasional telegram; they had no access to private letters. But today, with people expressing their innermost thoughts in e-mail messages, exposing their medical and financial records to the Internet, and chatting constantly on cellphones, the agency virtually has the ability to get inside a person's mind.

The NSA's original target had been the Communist bloc. The agency wrapped the Soviet Union and its satellite nations in an electronic cocoon. Anytime an aircraft, ship or military unit moved, the NSA would know. And from 22,300 miles in orbit, satellites with super-thin, football-field-sized antennas eavesdropped on Soviet communications and weapons signals.

Today, instead of eavesdropping on an enormous country that was always chattering and never moved, the NSA is trying to find small numbers of individuals who operate in closed cells, seldom communicate electronically (and when they do, use untraceable calling cards or disposable cellphones) and are constantly traveling from country to country.

During the cold war, the agency could depend on a constant flow of American-born Russian linguists from the many universities around the country with Soviet studies programs. Now the government is forced to search ethnic communities to find people who can speak Dari, Urdu or Lingala - and also pass a security clearance that frowns on people with relatives in their, or their parents', former countries.

According to an interview last year with Gen. Michael V. Hayden, then the NSA's director, intercepting calls during the war on terrorism has become a much more complex endeavor. On Sept. 10, 2001, for example, the NSA intercepted two messages. The first warned, "The match begins tomorrow," and the second said, "Tomorrow is zero hour." But even though they came from suspected al Qaeda locations in Afghanistan, the messages were never translated until after the attack on Sept. 11, and not distributed until Sept. 12.

What made the intercepts particularly difficult, General Hayden said, was that they were not "targeted" but intercepted randomly from Afghan pay phones.

This makes identification of the caller extremely difficult and slow. "Know how many international calls are made out of Afghanistan on a given day? Thousands." General Hayden said.

Still, the NSA doesn't have to go to the courts to use its electronic monitoring to snare al Qaeda members in Afghanistan. For the agency to snoop domestically on American citizens suspected of having terrorist ties, it first must to go to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, or FISA, make a showing of probable cause that the target is linked to a terrorist group, and obtain a warrant.

The court rarely turns the government down. Since it was established in 1978, the court has granted about 19,000 warrants; it has only rejected five. And even in those cases the government has the right to appeal to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court of Review, which in 27 years has only heard one case. And should the appeals court also reject the warrant request, the government could then appeal immediately to a closed session of the Supreme Court.

Before the Sept. 11 attacks, the NSA normally eavesdropped on a small number of American citizens or resident aliens, often a dozen or less, while the FBI, whose low-tech wiretapping was far less intrusive, requested most of the warrants from FISA.

Despite the low odds of having a request turned down, President Bush established a secret program in which the NSA would bypass the FISA court and begin eavesdropping without warrant on Americans. This decision seems to have been based on a new concept of monitoring by the agency, a way, according to the administration, to effectively handle all the data and new information.

At the time, the buzzword in national security circles was data mining: digging deep into piles of information to come up with some pattern or clue to what might happen next. Rather than monitoring a dozen or so people for months at a time, as had been the practice, the decision was made to begin secretly eavesdropping on hundreds, perhaps thousands, of people for just a few days or a week at a time in order to determine who posed potential threats.

Those deemed innocent would quickly be eliminated from the watch list, while those thought suspicious would be submitted to the FISA court for a warrant.

In essence, NSA seemed to be on a classic fishing expedition, precisely the type of abuse the FISA court was put in place to stop.At a news conference, President Bush himself seemed to acknowledge this new tactic. "FISA is for long-term monitoring," he said. "There's a difference between detecting so we can prevent, and monitoring."

This eavesdropping is not the Bush administration's only attempt to expand the boundaries of what is legally permissible.

In 2002, it was revealed that the Pentagon had launched Total Information Awareness, a data mining program led by John Poindexter, a retired rear admiral who had served as national security adviser under Ronald Reagan and helped devise the plan to sell arms to Iran and illegally divert the proceeds to rebels in Nicaragua.

Total Information Awareness, known as TIA, was intended to search through vast data bases, promising to "increase the information coverage by an order-of-magnitude." According to a 2002 article in The New York Times, the program "would permit intelligence analysts and law enforcement officials to mount a vast dragnet through electronic transaction data ranging from credit card information to veterinary records, in the United States and internationally, to hunt for terrorists." After press reports, the Pentagon shut it down, and Mr. Poindexter eventually left the government.

But according to a 2004 General Accounting Office report, the Bush administration and the Pentagon continued to rely heavily on data-mining techniques. "Our survey of 128 federal departments and agencies on their use of data mining," the report said, "shows that 52 agencies are using or are planning to use data mining. These departments and agencies reported 199 data-mining efforts, of which 68 are planned and 131 are operational." Of these uses, the report continued, "the Department of Defense reported the largest number of efforts."

The administration says it needs this technology to effectively combat terrorism. But the effect on privacy has worried a number of politicians.

After he was briefed on President Bush's secret operation in 2003, Senator Jay Rockefeller, the Democratic vice chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, sent a letter to Vice President Dick Cheney.

"As I reflected on the meeting today and the future we face," he wrote, "John Poindexter's TIA project sprung to mind, exacerbating my concern regarding the direction the administration is moving with regard to security, technology, and surveillance."

Senator Rockefeller sounds a lot like Senator Frank Church.

"I don't want to see this country ever go across the bridge," Senator Church said. "I know the capacity that is there to make tyranny total in America, and we must see to it that this agency and all agencies that possess this technology operate within the law and under proper supervision, so that we never cross over that abyss. That is the abyss from which there is no return."

President George W. Bush, Vice President Richard B. Cheney, Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld, and Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez have committed violations and subversions of the Constitution of the United States of America in an attempt to carry out with impunity crimes against peace and humanity and war crimes and deprivations of the civil rights of the people of the United States and other nations, by assuming powers of an imperial executive unaccountable to law and usurping powers of the Congress, the Judiciary and those reserved to the people of the United States, by the following acts:

1) Seizing power to wage wars of aggression in defiance of the U.S. Constitution, the U.N. Charter and the rule of law; carrying out a massive assault on and occupation of Iraq, a country that was not threatening the United States, resulting in the death and maiming of tens of thousands of Iraqis, and hundreds of U.S. G.I.s.

2) Lying to the people of the U.S., to Congress, and to the U.N., providing false and deceptive rationales for war.

3) Authorizing, ordering and condoning direct attacks on civilians, civilian facilities and locations where civilian casualties were unavoidable.

4) Threatening the independence and sovereignty of Iraq by belligerently changing its government by force and assaulting Iraq in a war of aggression.

6) Making, ordering and condoning false statements and propaganda about the conduct of foreign governments and individuals and acts by U.S. government personnel; manipulating the media and foreign governments with false information; concealing information vital to public discussion and informed judgment concerning acts, intentions and possession, or efforts to obtain weapons of mass destruction in order to falsely create a climate of fear and destroy opposition to U.S. wars of aggression and first strike attacks.

7) Violations and subversions of the Charter of the United Nations and international law, both a part of the "Supreme Law of the land" under Article VI, paragraph 2, of the Constitution, in an attempt to commit with impunity crimes against peace and humanity and war crimes in wars and threats of aggression against Afghanistan, Iraq and others and usurping powers of the United Nations and the peoples of its nations by bribery, coercion and other corrupt acts and by rejecting treaties, committing treaty violations, and frustrating compliance with treaties in order to destroy any means by which international law and institutions can prevent, affect, or adjudicate the exercise of U.S. military and economic power against the international community.

8) Acting to strip United States citizens of their constitutional and human rights, ordering indefinite detention of citizens, without access to counsel, without charge, and without opportunity to appear before a civil judicial officer to challenge the detention, based solely on the discretionary designation by the Executive of a citizen as an "enemy combatant."

9) Ordering indefinite detention of non-citizens in the United States and elsewhere, and without charge, at the discretionary designation of the Attorney General or the Secretary of Defense.

10) Ordering and authorizing the Attorney General to override judicial orders of release of detainees under INS jurisdiction, even where the judicial officer after full hearing determines a detainee is wrongfully held by the government.

13) Use of secret arrests of persons within the United States and elsewhere and denial of the right to public trials.

14) Authorizing the monitoring of confidential attorney-client privileged communications by the government, even in the absence of a court order and even where an incarcerated person has not been charged with a crime.

15) Ordering and authorizing the seizure of assets of persons in the United States, prior to hearing or trial, for lawful or innocent association with any entity that at the discretionary designation of the Executive has been deemed "terrorist."

16) Institutionalization of racial and religious profiling and authorization of domestic spying by federal law enforcement on persons based on their engagement in noncriminal religious and political activity.

17) Refusal to provide information and records necessary and appropriate for the constitutional right of legislative oversight of executive functions.

18) Rejecting treaties protective of peace and human rights and abrogation of the obligations of the United States under, and withdrawal from, international treaties and obligations without consent of the legislative branch, and including termination of the ABM treaty between the United States and Russia, and rescission of the authorizing signature from the Treaty of Rome which served as the basis for the International Criminal Court.

PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH AND OTHER NAMED OFFICIALS OF THE UNITED STATES HAVE COMMITTED IMPEACHABLE OFFENSES OF UNPRECEDENTED DANGER TO THE CONSTITUTION AND PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES.

Draft Articles of Impeachment of President George W. Bush and other named officials of the United States charge the most serious crimes known to law and history. Nothing in the experience of the impeachment power under the Constitution compares. The conduct charged threatens the Constitution, the United Nations, the rule of law and the lives of unknown thousands, or millions of people by their act and example.

The alleged impeachable acts of President George W. Bush include:

1. Ordering and directing "first strike" war of aggression against Afghanistan causing thousands of deaths;

2. Removing the government of Afghanistan by force and installing a government of his choice;

3. Authorizing daily intrusions into Iraqi airspace and aerial attacks including attacks on alleged defense installations in Iraq which have killed hundreds of people in time of peace;

4. Authorizing, ordering and condoning attacks in Afghanistan and Iraq on civilians, civilian facilities and locations where civilian casualties are unavoidable;

5. Threatening the use of nuclear weapons and ordering preparation for their use;

6. Threatening the independence and sovereignty of Iraq by belligerently proclaiming his personal intention to change its government by force;

7. Authorizing, ordering and condoning assassinations, summary executions, murder, kidnappings, secret and other illegal detentions of individuals, torture and physical and psychological coercion of prisoners;

8. Authorizing, ordering and condoning violations of rights of individuals under the First, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth and Eight Amendments to the Constitution and of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, and other international protections of human rights;

9. Authorizing, directing and condoning bribery and coercion of individuals and governments to obtain his war ends;

10. Making, ordering and condoning false statements and propaganda and concealing information vital to public discussion and informed judgment to create a climate of fear and hatred and destroy opposition to his war goals.

President Bush is accused of Crimes Against Peace, War Crimes and Crimes Against Humanity. No crimes are greater threats to the Constitution of the United States, the United Nation Charter, the rule of law or the future of humanity.

MAXIMUM EFFORT TO SECURE FULL CONSIDERATION OF IMPEACHMENT IS THE DUTY OF EVERYONE.

Impeachment is the means by which We The People of the United States and our elected representatives in Congress can prevent further crimes by the President and the human catastrophe they threaten and force accountability for crimes committed.

Congressional proceedings for impeachment can bring about open, fearless consideration of the most dangerous acts and threats ever committed by an American President. If courageously pursued, they can save our Constitution, the United Nations, the rule of law, the lives of countless people and leave open the possibility of peace on earth. Each of us must take a stand on impeachment now, or bear the burden of having failed to speak in this hour of maximum peril.

Movement to impeach George W. Bush
From
Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

The phrase "Movement to impeach George W. Bush" is used in two ways. It is used to describe actions by individuals and groups within the public and private spheres intended to support an impeachment of US President George W. Bush. The phrase is also used in a more broad sense to refer to a social movement, related to public opinion polls, including both Democrats and Republicans, which indicate a degree of public support for a Presidential impeachment.

Reasons given for impeachment include: the Plame affair, the 2003 invasion of Iraq, the global war on terror, the Downing Street documents, the yellowcake forgery, the 2001 terrorist incidents known as "9/11" for September 11, 2001, the mishandling of the Hurricane Katrina disaster and authorization to conduct domestic wiretaps without a warrant. These reasons have been championed by activists on the political left and groups affiliated or supportive of anti-war causes. Some conservatives also have called for Bush's ouster on many of the same grounds.

There are no impeachment hearings nor is an impeachment vote scheduled.

Ramsey Clark, United States Attorney General under Lyndon Johnson, has set up a website, VoteToImpeach.org, in which he lists some of the reasons he believes Bush, as well as Vice President Dick Cheney and Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, should be impeached.

Nuclear Monitoring of Muslim Americans Done Without Search Warrants
In search of a terrorist nuclear bomb, the federal government since 9/11 has run a far-reaching, top secret program to monitor radiation levels at over a hundred Muslim sites in the Washington, D.C., area, including mosques, homes, businesses, and warehouses, plus similar sites in at least five other cities, U.S. News has learned.

Power We Didn't Grant
As Senate majority leader at the time, I helped negotiate that law with the White House counsel's office over two harried days. I can state categorically that the subject of warrantless wiretaps of American citizens never came up. I did not and never would have supported giving authority to the president for such wiretaps. I am also confident that the 98 senators who voted in favor of authorization of force against al Qaeda did not believe that they were also voting for warrantless domestic surveillance.

A Time to Impeach
But Bush had plenty of bipartisan help from Democratic co-conspirators in keeping knowledge of this illegal spying from reaching the American public. It began in November 2001, in the wake of 9/11, and -- from the very first briefing for Congressional leaders by Dick Cheney until today -- Democrats on the Senate and House Intelligence Committees were told about it. Those witting and complicit in hiding the crime included Democratic Senator John D. Rockefeller IV, former chairman and later ranking member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, former ranking member on the House Intelligence Committee. They knew it was a crime -- Rockefeller, for example, warned the administration against it -- and yet did not make it public. They were frightened by polls showing security hysteria at its height.

2005: The year of vanished credibility
Start with Bush. Never at ease before the cameras, he now has the hunted blink and compulsive nasolabial twitch of the mad dictator, a cornered rat with nowhere left to run. Nixon looked the same in his last White House days, and so did Hitler, according to those present in the Fuhrerbunker. As Hitler did before him, Bush raves on about imagined victories.

Deceit over spying -- prelude to long-term lame-duck president
The president's evasion of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act was bad enough, but in his statement to the public, his blatant omission of the fact that the act gave him the emergency power for wiretaps may have done incalculable damage to the dwindling faith of Americans in their government, a loss of faith that could be seriously detrimental to the president's goals during the remaining three years of his term of office.

'Impeachment' Talk, Pro and Con, Appears in Media at Last
A smattering of polls (some commissioned by partisan groups) has found considerable, if often qualified, support for impeachment. But Frank Newport, the director of the Gallup Poll, told E&P recently that he would only run a poll on the subject if the idea really started to gain mainstream political traction, and not until then. He noted that he had been besieged with emails calling for such a survey, but felt that was a "well-organized" action.

Censure and Impeachment
If we succeed in censuring Bush and/or Cheney, impeachment is next. The one does not cancel the other. The public will not allow it to. Censure will not satisfy those demands. It will, however, help move Congress and the media in the direction of listening to the public demand for accountability.

Conservative Court Questions Administration's Honesty

The fourteen-page opinion makes a number of charges against the Administration. Fundamentally, it accuses the government of changing its version of the facts to suit its purposes and improperly seeking to avoid Supreme Court consideration of whether the President has the power to declare a U.S. citizen an "enemy combatant." The Court also castigates the government for at least creating the appearance that there really was not such a great need to hold Padilla as an enemy combatant and that the charges that he had entered the country to set off bombs might not be true.

Wash. Post Impeachment Question
In her November 13 column, Washington Post ombudsman Deborah Howell wrote that Post polling director Richard Morin told her that the Post does not "do a poll on whether President Bush should be impeached" because such a question "is biased and would produce a misleading result." Media Matters for America pointed out the inconsistency in Morin's claim: the Post, under Morin's direction, asked similar questions about then-President Bill Clinton throughout 1998. President Bush presents a clear and present danger to the rule of law. New Lies About Iraq

Three days before Christmas, the Bush administration launched a new salvo of bright spinning lies about the Iraq war.

"In an interview with reporters traveling with him on an Air Force cargo plane to Baghdad," the Associated Press reported Thursday morning, Donald Rumsfeld "hinted that a preliminary decision had been made to go below the 138,000 baseline" of U.S. troops in Iraq.

Throughout 2006, until Election Day in early November, this kind of story will be a frequent media refrain as the Bush regime does whatever it can to prevent a loss of Republican majorities in the House and Senate.

Alito's Zeal for Presidential Power
Editorial
--New York Times
With the Bush administration claiming sweeping and often legally baseless authority to detain and spy on people, judges play a crucial role in underscoring the limits of presidential power. When the Senate begins hearings next month on Judge Samuel Alito, President Bush's Supreme Court nominee, it should explore whether he understands where the Constitution sets those limits. New documents released yesterday provide more evidence that Judge Alito has a skewed view of the allocation of power among the three branches - skewed in favor of presidential power.

A small editorial from your moderator. I rarely use this list to express a strong political opinion -- you will forgive me in this instance.

This mailing list is putatively about cryptography and cryptography politics, though we do tend to stray quite a bit into security issues of all sorts, and sometimes into the activities of the agency with the biggest crypto and sigint budget in the world, the NSA.

As you may all be aware, the New York Times has reported, and the administration has admitted, that President of the United States apparently ordered the NSA to conduct surveillance operations against US citizens without prior permission of the secret court known as the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (the "FISC"). This is in clear contravention of 50 USC 1801 - 50 USC 1811, a portion of the US code that provides for clear criminal penalties for violations. See:

http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/html/uscode50/usc_sup_01_50_10_36_20_I.html
The President claims he has the prerogative to order such surveillance. The law unambiguously disagrees with him.

There are minor exceptions in the law, but they clearly do not apply in this case. They cover only the 15 days after a declaration of war by congress, a period of 72 hours prior to seeking court authorization (which was never sought), and similar exceptions that clearly are not germane.

There is no room for doubt or question about whether the President has the prerogative to order surveillance without asking the FISC -- even if the FISC is a toothless organization that never turns down requests, it is a federal crime, punishable by up to five years imprisonment, to conduct electronic surveillance against US citizens without court authorization.

The FISC may be worthless at defending civil liberties, but in its arrogant disregard for even the fig leaf of the FISC, the administration has actually crossed the line into a crystal clear felony. The government could have legally conducted such wiretaps at any time, but the President chose not to do it legally.

Ours is a government of laws, not of men. That means if the President disagrees with a law or feels that it is insufficient, he still must obey it. Ignoring the law is illegal, even for the President. The President may ask Congress to change the law, but meanwhile he must follow it.

Our President has chosen to declare himself above the law, a dangerous precedent that could do great harm to our country. However, without substantial effort on the part of you, and I mean you, every person reading this, nothing much is going to happen. The rule of law will continue to decay in our country. Future Presidents will claim even greater extralegal authority, and our nation will fall into despotism. I mean that sincerely. For the sake of yourself, your children and your children's children, you cannot allow this to stand.

Call your Senators and your Congressman. Demand a full investigation, both by Congress and by a special prosecutor, of the actions of the Administration and the NSA. Say that the rule of law is all that stands between us and barbarism. Say that we live in a democracy, not a kingdom, and that our elected officials are not above the law. The President is not a King. Even the President cannot participate in a felony and get away with it. Demand that even the President must obey the law.

Tell your friends to do the same. Tell them to tell their friends to do the same. Then, call back next week and the week after and the week after that until something happens. Mark it in your calendar so you don't forget about it. Politicians have short memories, and Congress is about to recess for Christmas, so you must not allow this to be forgotten. Keep at them until something happens.
